PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear White Oak Elementary School Community,

On behalf of the White Oak staff, I would like to welcome you to our wonderful school. We are excited for the opportunity to partner with you in supporting your child on their educational journey!

It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of White Oak Elementary and to join this extraordinary school community. I am passionate about education! For the past twenty-six years, I have worked in public education as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. This begins my thirteenth year as an elementary principal, and I am thrilled to be joining the Simi Valley Unified School District. I am committed to embracing the positive traditions and practices that are already in place at White Oak while working diligently to ensure success for the future. My motto is, “Students First, Every Day,” and I believe all children should receive an exemplary education in an environment that is safe and conducive to learning. Together we can help our children excel and provide them with an education that is second to none!

Our school is dedicated to serving the academic and social-emotional needs of all students in a supportive and encouraging environment. Working as partners, we can accomplish much more than any of us alone. The White Oak staff  believes that all students can achieve at high levels with support and encouragement. We work together as a team to ensure that all students benefit from a cohesive school wide educational program. Our teachers provide high-quality instruction for all students as well as researched-based interventions for struggling students. We also recognize the importance of students’ social-emotional well-being in their overall education and we work to instill strong social-emotional skills as a foundation for safe and positive learning. The entire White Oak staff  reflects compassion and respect for all members of our school community. 

I am delighted to serve as the new principal of White Oak Elementary, and I look forward to working closely with our children, staff, parents, and community members. My door is always open to you, and I sincerely welcome your input and support. I am excited about all we will accomplish together this year!
