School Parking

PARKING

Parking spaces are assigned to STAFF ONLY.  The curb is painted red and is designated as non-parking Per Section 21458V.C.  Whenever local authorities enact local parking regulations and indicate them by the use of paint upon curbs, the following colors indicate: (1) Red indicates no stopping, standing or parking, whether the vehicle is attended, with buses being exempted. (2) Yellow indicates stopping only for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freight for the time as may be specified by local ordinance. Per section 463 V.C.  in its application to the public school property and on the public street states: “Park or parking” shall mean the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not.

PARKING LOT SAFETY

Please do not park in the school parking lot at any time. This is reserved for Teachers and Staff only. Parking in the reserved parking spaces prevents teachers and staff from returning to school on time from lunch and appointments because their space is taken.

The parking lot is often a congested area, especially at arrival and dismissal times. Rainy days can cause even more problems than usual. Please impress upon your child the importance of using sidewalks at all times. Stopping in the traffic lane of the parking lot or street will NOT be permitted. Prearrangement for a meeting place with your child on rainy days will help to alleviate some of the congestion in the parking lot.
